Lake Wallenpaupack chalet Rental Property Information

Beautiful lakefront chalet-style vacation home with fireplace and jacuzzi in a community with two outdoor pools and one indoor pool; it is located in the Wallenpaupack Lake area in beautiful Lake Ariel, PA which is about 2 hours from New York City. Unlike other lake fronts which place you up hills and long walking distances to the lake, we are Right On one of the smaller lakes....you will wake up and look out your windows to beautiful close-up views of the beautiful lake. The door is literally Steps To The Dock (about 10 steps!), and not down steep hills either! Unlike being on the 'big' lake (Wallenpaupack) which allows powerboats and jet skis, our lake is a non-power boating lake which means No waking up to noisy boat motors and the ZZZZ of jet skis!! We accept Mastercard and Visa as payment, but not American Express, sorry.

Our community has a marina on the 'big lake', Lake Wallenpaupack, and owners have lake rights to the big lake. Our house is on one of the two smaller lakes in our community.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • We charge a fee of $110 which includes cleaning (above)and the community's rental fee of $50/renter
  • We accept Visa and Mastercard. Renters will be required to pay a deposit of $500 in order to hold your reservation. If however, your arrival date is less than one month away, you will be required to pay your balance in full immediately (rental fee plus deposit plus $110 fee). The balance of your rental is due one month prior to your arrival. Once you arrive, your deposit monies become your Security Deposit of $500 which will be returned after our handyman and/or cleaning crew determines that the property was left in it's original condition and when the key has been returned to us.
  • Approval of a renter is contingent upon satisfactory review of application, which we will mail to you upon your request and which we require you to complete and submit. Once we approve the application, then we will send you a contract to sign & return with your payment.

  • The three bedrooms each have closets, individually-controllable electric heat and air conditioners. Two of the bedrooms are on the first floor and the third bedroom is on the second floor. The loft, which is on the 2nd floor, has two queen size futons. The guest room on the lower level (game room also on this level, as is the spa) also has two queen size futons. We ask that all guests bring their OWN linens and bath towels. All beds are QUEEN size. All other necessities are on site at the house.

There is a canoe and a paddle boat for renters to enjoy as well as several inflated kayaks. There are Adirondack chairs by the lake as well as a chiminea for cool nights and smores. On the deck, there are two tables and cushioned seating for 8 people and a gas grill. It is wheelchair accessible, but may not be in the winter if there is heavy snow. The driveway leads downhill from the road and usually the snowplow is able to clear the snow adequately, but sometimes they cannot get it all which would require renters to park at the top of the driveway (there is a parking spot right on the side of the road) and walk down, and this would make the home not wheelchair accessible.

Renter Requirements Renters must be 30 years of age or older and we will require photocopies of drivers licenses to ensure compliance with this rule. Families with children are the only exceptions to this rule. We will not rent to individuals with pets or who smoke.

Community For summer renters, there are two outdoor pools....There is a nice lodge at the nearby pool which offers games for kids & teens. There are tennis courts at this pool area which must be reserved in advance at the main office. There is also an indoor pool which is about 5 minutes drive and there is schedule of times that it is open. All community amenities require badges which we will provide to renters.Fishing: there is ample opportunity to do so and the fishing is great in all three lakes (Lake Wallenpaupack is the BIG lake, and the two smaller lakes in our community are called Deer Lake & Beaver Lake, which are both NON-powerboating lakes). If you wish to fish, you MUST get fishing licenses to do so (adults). It is a simple process and it is very inexpensive, but it could cost a lot of money if you fail to have one and get caught fishing without it! Please contact owner for website where you can purchase your fishing license. Children may only fish with a licensed adult present

Skiing Information: There are two nearby ski areas: Tanglwood and Sno Mountain. Sno Mountain is fairly new, used to be called Montage Mountain but was purchased and they changed the name. It's an outstanding mountain which has a great ski instruction program which is wonderful for children. Both are about 20 minute drive from the house.
