With incredibly mild seasons, the Keys rise and fall just 12 to 20 degrees year-round. Residents and visitors enjoy average 70 degrees in January and 80 to 90-degree summer months. Warm tropical showers and thunderstorms roll through the shores between May and October, creating an extraordinarily moody, romantic and dramatic ambiance. The Key’s cobalt-colored waters and coral reefs are a haven for scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing, kayaking and boating. Sport fishermen flock to its waters, with 10 percent of the world’s salt fish records set just off the shores.
