Hancock barn Rental Property Information
A bucolic summer retreat in the Berkshires. Sitting out on the deck you'll feel like you have the whole valley to yourself. Inside, our twenty-four feet high ceiling in the living/dining area features the original, hand-cut beams in this classic New England Barn converted to a comfortable home with all modern conveniences. Three sliding glass doors lead to the wraparound deck and splendid pastoral views across the valley.
A second-floor balcony has its own couch and chairs - but is also open to the main room and mountain views. The kitchen comfortably seats 4-5. The dining area accommodates 8-10.
Walk on our three large meadows or hike the wooded, hilly terrain. Stroll to our nearby swimming pond, visible from the deck at the bottom of the main meadow, which is about 100-150 feet long, 50-75 feet wide, and 9-12 feet deep in the middle. Explore the old apple orchards and enjoy the wild blackberries in the meadows as you hike to our trout stream.

Further Details for the barn in Berkshires, Massachusetts, USA
Our air conditioner (one bedroom), ceiling fans (main room) and other desktop fans are seldom used, since we catch a nice breeze coming up from the meadow. For the odd mid-summer cool evening, a cheery fire is perfect in either our stone fireplace or our wood burning stove.
