Suwannee River house Rental Property Information

Surrounded on three sides by sea walls, this fresh water canal-side island is a spacious oasis near the mouth of the Suwannee River. Situated in a natural setting at the edge of the town of Suwannee there is a wildlife refuge across the street. Covered fish cleaning station. 2 floating docks. Swim ladder. Davit. Plenty of cleats for mooring canoes, kayaks or boats. Plenty of parking for several cars and boats. 1 minute to Demry Creek, 5 minutes to the Suwannee River, 10 minutes to the Gulf of Mexico. The side stairs lead to the open front deck that faces the wildlife refuge. Great for birdwatching. The back stairs lead to the 14'x60' open deck complete with patio tables, umbrellas and chairs for everyone. Sit and watch the boaters and canoers glide by. A keen eye may catch a glimpse of a Manatee or gator in the open canal. For the more adventuresome, freshwater or saltwater fishing or diving may beckon. The river is great for water skiing, knee-boarding, jet ski's and wave runners.
