Prescott - located in nation's largest forest of Ponderosa pines; historic courthouse plaza, fine golf courses and shopping (90.7 miles, two hours, eight minutes). Jerome - Picturesque historic copper-mining town featuring shops, restaurants, museums with mining, archaeological and historical displays - 102.2 miles from Peoria (between Prescott and Sedona Oak Creek Canyon). Grand Canyon/Hoover Dam - 222.6 miles, four hours 48 minutes. Tombstone - old silver mining town - 212.8 miles; four hours, 19 minutes. Petrified Forest National Park (remains of ancient trees, plants, dinosaur fossils, and Indian ruins).
