'Thistledew' is the name of this wonderful, private, perfectly located Nantucket home. Within a private compound, this home has the Atlantic Ocean with a private beach out the front door and the tranquility of Hither Creek and a private dock through the french doors off the back deck. Madaket is the greatest beach for swimming, surfing and sunsets. At night, the Milky Way gleams overhead and all the stars seem close enough to touch.Stars tumble through the sky, dripping into the ocean on the horizon.The real Nantucket. You can walk along the Atlantic Ocean forever without being disturbed.A walk to the West ends at the new Smith's Point. On April 17th, the waves of a Nor'easter tore the island apart, separating us again from Esther's Island.Continue until the Ocean's roar quiets and the calm waters of Nantucket Sound will lead you back home

Madaket is the Western end of Nantucket Island, an island thirty miles off the coast of Massachusets. Our homes are about six miles from town. The location is superb and maintained with great love. Atlantic Surf Beach with pristine turquoise waters are steps from your door and Hither Creek and Nantucket Sound are outside the back deck. Privacy is yours in Madaket, within our 'compound'. Nantucket is a small island with great history and nature. There is something fro everyone here---fabulous restaurants, sunsets from your deck on the beach, natural walking trails through the moors aned conservation land, surfing, windsurfing, kayaking, great shopping, famous off-shore fishing and surfcasting,sailing, beautiful and safe off-the-road paved bike paths weave all over the island and the shuttle runs every half hour in and out of town and its located about a three minute walk from the house.Islands are unique and Nantucket is no exception.
