Further Details for the cottage in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA
Summer in P-Town and Capt.Jacks Wharf There is no other place like this around where you can watch the sea from your decks and listen to the water under your cottage. Even in a storm it is cozy and romantic to watch the sea from your windows. You can also walk right into the sea from the various decks that are at your disposal or walk on the beaches that are all around you. A magical world of old world charm where writers like Eugene ONeal and Tennessee Williams found lots of inspiration. Provincetown still is an artists colony and it attracts a very wonderful and diverse clientèle. Capt. Jacks Wharf is an intimate and quiet place. Its a place where you can socialize or stay to yourself. The cottages are individually owned. Mine are on the very private upper level. You can use any chair or table on the wharf. All the walking decks are for use by any occupant. The Lounge chairs are for everyone to use. There is a nice serene peace and quiet at night. It is romantic and a nice place to let go and relax. My unit is Neptune.
Restaurants Restaurants: Provincetown has many restaurants. There are 4 star restaurants and hot dog stands. There are restaurants in every price range as well as take out places. There is even prepared food at the Grand Union Super Market along with a salad bar. All a very close walk from the cottage's Red Inn down the street is a classic P-Town experience. There are also vegan restaurants in town too. There is no shortage of places to eat. Try Clem and Urses for fried seafood. You can also pick up groceries and cook and eat from one of our decks. The boutique grocery store relish is just a 2 min walk and they prepare delicious meals and sandwiches.
Beaches and Pools Beaches: We are in P-Town Bay and the water is always warmest there. One can walk to Herring Cove Beach where there is a family beach as well as a gay and lesbian beach and the further you walk down the gay beach clothing becomes optional. Race Point is another beach. You can take the bike trails there from Herring Cove through the dunes. There are bigger waves there and even surfing. The water is coldest there. This is national seashore heritage. It is beautiful and expansive. Pamet Roads beach in Truro is spectacular too.If you walk aways to the right clothing becomes optional too. There is a swimming pool at the Provincetown Inn which you can walk to from the wharf. You can eat lunch and swim in the pool.
Golf Information: There are many golf facilities all over the cape.
