Pets are not allowed by home owner's renter rules. We ask that you not smoke please. You must be 21 years or older to rent this cottage.Check in time is 4:00 pm or later on the arrival date. Check out time is 10:00 am or earlier on the departure date. Early arrival or late departure times may be available, Charges may be applicable. This is a family area and it remains quiet at night. No glass in the pool area please. Children should be supervised at all times. This is a wildlife area; you could see a small alligator in one of the on site ponds. We like long term renters in the winter months but prefer to rent by the week in summer.

The Rookery, Unit 3501: Preferred Area Close By Activities include: Golfing at any of the 7 Premier Local Courses, Deep Sea or Inshore Fishing, Hot Air Balloon Rides, Para sailing, Wave Runner Rentals, Dauphin Island Estuary, Water Parks, Gulf Coast Zoo, Putt Putt Golf, Dinner Cruises, Shopping at the Outlet Malls and The Wharf, Various Festivals (When In Season), and Night Life. The Rookery was designed to be a natural and quiet resort and is located adjacent to the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. This is a wonderful place for kids to play and swim as the large pool has an extended shallow end. A marina, boat dock, and restaurants are located nearby. Go after elusive blue marlin, yellow fin tuna, amberjack, cobia, red snapper, and more! Driving west from Gulf Shores along Fort Morgan Road brings you by scenic Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, a haven for nature lovers.

The Cottage The arrangement of the bedrooms and two full baths easily would accommodate two couples for the winter months. Share a winter retreat and save money. The bathes have both showers and tubs. The convenient kitchen features full size stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and garbage disposal. Dishes and linens are provided. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. All on one level there is easy access to the cottage with safe parking. Everything you need is provided except food. This is a perfect family vacation spot in summer and fall. The beach is a state park area located across the street, 0.4 miles away.

Fabulous Pools! The Rookery has two pools. There is also a smaller, more private pool located at just outside your front door! The very large zero entry pool is just steps away from where you will be staying. This pool has a hot tub, as well as eight fountains of water which spray into the pool. There are nature trails for walking and hiking, as well as a bike path. The public beach is a short walk down Cortez Street.
