Mashpee cottage Rental Property Information

Enjoy your Cape Cod Vacation in this quiet seaside neighborhood. It is located on Waquoit Bay, only steps back from the saltwater beach, with gorgeous water views. We have beach rights to a neighborhood beach just steps away. The sunsets are breathtaking, and the sea breeze refreshing. It is a perfect location for families, time away with friends, or couples looking for a place to 'get away from it all'. So many activities nearby, then enjoy your peaceful retreat when your day is done. The spacious kitchen opens out to the private back yard, allowing dining inside or out. For your convenience, all linens are provided for bedrooms and bath, the kitchen is completely stocked with much that you need for cooking and wrapping or storing your food. Your main concern for your vacation will be your clothes and food; we've made the rest easy!

Seconsett Island is a quaint, seaside community, off the beaten path, but within a close distance to shopping, beaches, attractions and activities. For a full day at the beach, South Cape Beach State Park is a short drive away; no highway travel is necessary to get there. Since we are on the some of the most southernmost points of Cape Cod, the water is exceptionally warm, yet still refreshing. After a day at the beach, enjoy the breeze on our cheery sun porch. Many tell us about the beautiful sunset photos they get right at our beach by the cottage. Walk along the causeway for a look at the nesting osprey; there are several nests to view - the tops of telephone poles seem to be the favored location! You may also see our resident great blue herons or the swans. This restful sanctuary by the sea is off the beaten path, yet so close to so many activities and attractions.

Activities and Attractions If you have kayaks or can borrow or rent them for your stay, there is plenty of room to store them in the yard. If you have a small boat on a trailer, we can give you several options for storing the trailer for your visit. There are several public boat ramps nearby, and yes, there are fish in the bay! For the adventurous, Martha's Vineyard is about 4 1/2 miles away by boat. Golf courses and bike trails are plentiful, and shopping is easily accessible at the open air Mashpee Commons (minutes away), as well as Falmouth and Hyannis. For those who also must 'work' on vacation, Mashpee Commons offers wireless hot spots.
