Activities Vallarta offers all kinds of water sports, boat trips, canopy tours, horseback riding, fishing, water parks and much more. Vallarta Adventures is probably the best and most reliable for all of these. All of the local papers and brochures offer information on them. Banderas Bay is filled with interesting places to visit, by land, sea, or air. By sea there are scuba and snorkeling trips to Yelapa, Quimixto and much more. By air you can visit San Sebastian, and Tequila. There is bird watching, hiking, biking, horseback riding, whale watching (Nov. to March) and dolphin adventures. There is snorkeling and scuba diving at Los Arcos, and Marieta Islands, nighttime exotic shows, and daytime hiking and biking. Safety first! To enjoy Vallarta the best you can, you must be healthy in body and in mind. The town offers great health care, from soothing spas to complete hospital centers.

Golf Information: In general golf in Puerto Vallarta is not a cheap hobby and the increase in the number of courses from the original two in 1994 to the present day seven has not decreased prices significantly, if at all. Prices vary from course to course and each one has a series of discounts, twilight fees, packets etc. The fees vary from about $60 (dollars) up to about $180. There are also enormous differences in 'add on costs' like the price of a can of Coca Cola (how about $2.50 on one course), the cost of rental clubs, the cost of storing your clubs, even the cost of having a non-playing partner just accompanying the player to take in the view. Probably, the best way to describe the differences between some of the courses is: some feel homey and give genuine, friendly service, others are much more of a business.
