  • 1/2 the rental rate, plus tax and $500 security deposit is required to secure a reservation. There is a refundable* security/cleaning/damage deposit of $500 required when you book your reservation. *For a full refund of this deposit we ask you leave the cottage as clean and tidy as you found it. Any damage or additional cleaning costs will be deducted from this deposit. A non refundable cleaning fee of $75 is required for stays less than one (1) week.

    We will contact you to confirm your reservation upon receipt of a 50% deposit and the security deposit. Unfortunately, we can not guarantee your reservation until your check is received and cleared by the bank. Reservations are booked on a first come first served basis.

    For your convenience, owners live on site and are available to assist you with any questions. Reservations of less than 1 week will be considered based on availability.
  • A non refundable cleaning fee of $75 is required for stays less than one (1) week.

    Holiday weeks are $2,495 - this includes Memorial Day weekend week, Windjammer Festival week (Tuesday/Wednesday June 22-23, 2010), The 4th of July week & Labor Day week.

If you are looking for an upscale rental with incredible direct waterviews of harbor activities, glorious sunsets & quick walking distance to any of Boothbay Harbor's most photographed landmarks including the famous 'Foot Bridge', downtown waterfront village, The Fishermen's Memorial, Our Lady Queen of Peace, Barrett Park, and many others - you will be happy you stayed in Harbor Sunset Cottage. Past guests have thoroughly enjoyed their visits with us especially the convenience of 'restaurant' delivery from our on-site restaurant - The Lobster Dock. Please note this is a popular commercial waterfront property. Additionally, the cottage is not 'child proofed' & is considered not suitable for children (there is no indoor or outdoor play area). This property is located near a busy road & the entry way to our own home, our restaurant & our small marina. The 2 bedrooms & the full bath are located upstairs. Well-behaved, non-shedding dogs under 20# may be considered - please inquire.

Wake up to watching the Lobster Boats Watch local lobstermen leave the harbor to fish for Maine Lobster while you enjoy your morning coffee/breakfast from your private deck or balcony. Then, later in the morning you can watch as the tour boats begin leaving for island tours, Puffin cruises, lighthouse tours, river cruises, whale watching & fishing expeditions. Later in the afternoon the Lobster Boats return & just a hundred yards away at the Fish Pier you can see them unload their catch of the day. Soon after you can watch as fresh lobsters are delivered right next door to The Lobster Dock where you can pick your own out for dinner. 'Put me down for a 2# one with an order of freshly dug Steamer Clams!'

Nationally known Maine Botanical Gardens Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, on Barters Island Road in Boothbay, invites you to visit and watch our gardens grow.
