If you’ve never been to Good Harbor Beach, you’re in for a treat! At low tide, the waves part and you can walk to a nearby island! (To visualize this, imagine Moses and the Red Sea.) The kids will never forget the summer they walked to an island (and it's thrilling for adults, too)! You'll also love poking in the tidepools and searching for live clams or seashells on the beach. The water is the cleanest and most beautiful I have ever seen. Gloucester is a lovely fishing town, offering whale-watching, delicious fresh lobster, golf, easy cycling, shopping in picturesque Gloucester or Rockport, tourism in the nearby Rocky Neck area, authentic Sicilian pastry shops, all sorts of water sports, golf, historic attractions, nearby lighthouses, etc.

Children are welcome, although please to talk to the owner about the inherent dangers of a home located right near the ocean's edge. The first floor of the house is set up to be fully functional on its own, so is suitable for elderly. However, there is one step to get into the house, and two steps to get from the living room to kitchen/dining room/sunroom. So, guests will need to be able to handle a few steps.

Our lobster dinner tradition One of our family's traditions is to eat a fresh lobster dinner during our stay, while admiring the waves and the light of the sunset from the sun room. For an extra fee, we are happy to arrange for a catered lobster dinner at the house, and you and your family/friends can taste this little piece of heaven. Enjoy the relaxing sounds and sight of the ocean--and a fine meal--all at once.
