LaBella's Cottage located on Chalker Beach in Old Saybrook, Connecticut has it all. A private, quaint year round cottage all to yourself situated a short walk down the road from beautiful Long Island Sound. Completely renovated and updated- yet it still preserves the character of an old Cape Cod cottage; featuring Belgian cherry wood floors, a fully equipped kitchen for cooking and baking. The kitchen and dining room have fabulous beach cookbooks, coffee, cappuccino, and espresso maker, beaters, blender, bar area, and we include coffees, teas, creamer, sugars, cooking herbs, spices, and fresh ground pepper and sea salt. The dining room seats six comfortably, plus breakfast bar. Furnished patio/gazebo/porch, and grill. Bedrooms all have a sitting area, 1 queen, 1 double, and 1 twin bed. TV/DVD/VCR, Stereo/MP3/5-CD, Internet, telephone, washer/dryer, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, sheets/towels, lotions/soaps, bug spray/sunscreen, picnic basket, 2 bikes, and storage shed.

Beach combing is a must, but bike and kayak rentals are nearby to tour the sound, or area health clubs for indoor fitness. If you’re into shopping, we have it all! Enjoy Main Street Old Saybrook, tour the outlets in Westbrook and Clinton, or travel 10 minutes into the sailing village of Essex. Old Saybrook offers Fenwick Golf Course located on the point off of Long-Island Sound where the late Kathryn Hepburn resided. Other things close by include the Essex Steam Train and River Boat cruise where you can tour the Connecticut River. If you prefer romance, there is the Essex Dinner Train that will take you a step back in time with forties style fine dining and music. This area offers restaurants at its best, and we provide a list of many including directions. For those looking for night life close by, there is entertainment on the water at several nearby locations, including a wine bar. Multiple art galleries and antique shops. Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos are a not far.

    Weekend specials are available in the winter months. Weekly professional cleaning service included with rental includes basic cleaning of kitchen, bath, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing all supplies. Laundry is provided for sheets and towels following your stay.

The game room has 3 chairs and is open to LR, two chairs can be moved anywhere. The Dining room seats 6 comfortably, or there is a breakfast bar for two. The sitting room includes a chess and checker board, board games, puzzles, and cards. Sitting room has an electric fireplace.
