Strasburg is known for pottery, antiques, civil war history and breathtaking views. It is nestled in the valley of the Shenandoah River with vistas of Massanutten Mountain and the Allegheny foothills. Strasburg offers numerous sources of entertainment, including Half Moon Beach, Crystal Caverns, Stonewall Jackson Museum, many antique shops, the historic Hotel Strasburg, The Strasburg Theatre, an impressive park and swimming pool complex, paintball, bowling, and access to the North Fork of the Shenandoah River. The area boasts many hiking trails (including Signal Knob trails), fishing, kayaking/tubing, Valley League baseball games, horseback riding, antique stores, roller skating, a drive-in movie, wineries, civil war battlefields, historic sites, and the occasional reenactment of a Civil War battle. Skyline Drive is accessible from nearby Front Royal. Several golf courses are nearby, and Bryce Canyon Ski Resort is in nearby Basye.

  • Guests are requested to sign a simple rental agreement prior to commencing reservation. Check-in is 3pm, Check-out 11am, both times are flexible depending upon the cabin reservation schedule.

Child-Friendly Amenities The cabin has been child-proofed with gates, outlet protectors and cupboard locks. Infant/toddler gear is located on the property, including a high chair, playpens (2), diaper pail, booster seat, twin bed rails, and some toddler toys.

About the Water The cabin uses well water, so when you take a shower or use the kitchen sink, you may smell sulfur - the locals would call this a bonus, as they swear by the healthful properties of the water. There is a shower but no bathtub, and there is no washer/dryer, but linens and towels are provided and there is a laundromat in town.
