    $2,100.00 weekly rate for 2 guests up to $5,040.00 weekly rate for 16 guests.

    Per night rate (single or double occupancy):
    7 nights or more $300.00 per night,
    Weekend rates $350.00 per night.
    Plus $30 for each additional occupant per night and $125 out cleaning fee per floor.

    Taxes:
    Rates are subject to two Hawaii taxes totaling 11.42%:
    General Excise Tax of 4.166%; and
    Transient Accommodations Tax of 7.25%.
  • Reservations:
    A $750.00 deposit is due within 7 days of the reservation, with the balance payable 60 days prior to arrival. Payments may be by check, money order, or credit card (VISA, MC, AMEX or Discover). For parties of more than 6 guests, a damage deposit of $500 per floor applies which will be reimbursed after check out by mail.

    Cancellations:
    Cancellation with 60 or more days notice will result in a refund of monies paid, minus a $85 cancellation fee. With less than 60 days notice, refunds will be based solely on the ability to re-book the reserved dates; again minus the cancellation fee.

    *A three night minimum applies to bookings that include the Merrie Monarch Festival, Thanksgiving and/or periods between Dec 15th to Jan 15th.

Neither level will be rented separately to different customers. Leleka'ae Falls Retreat features two separate floors with exterior access only; there is no interior staircase. Upper level features 3 bdr/2 bath and the lower level features 2 bdr/2 bath. Both levels have full kitchens with upper level featuring gourmet kitchen. Adequate seating for dining and lounging on both levels as well as outdoors. Full sized heavy duty washer and dryer upstairs; full sized washer/dryer stack downstairs. Up to 6 guests can have their choice of floors. Over 6 guests will have access to both. This is done to keep maintenance and cleaning costs reasonable.

Unique features: Leleka’ae Falls Retreat is over-powered by a state-of-the-art photovoltaic (solar panel) system making it fully efficient yet non-dependent on fossil fuels. It also has it’s own ultra-filtered rainwater catchment system making it fully self-sufficient yet more than adequate to meet the needs of its guests. In fact, you'll never know you're staying in a solar powered house except there are no power lines or poles to block your view! A walk around second floor deck, with waterfall viewing area cantilevered over the gulch, allows you exceptional unobstructed views at this outstanding estate. Snuggle up in a hammock, relax in the air chair, or lay back on the chaise lounge and soak it all in.

Views: Daytime views at this lush retreat include views of sunrise to the east over the ocean, a wide carpet of lush greenery, Hilo Bay, three volcanoes including Kilauea, Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea, and the Waiau Gulch and waterfalls. Nighttime views include sunset over Saddle Road between Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea, the city of Hilo night lights, the Hilo airport with its planes silently arriving and departing, the Kumukahi Lighthouse with light flashing at night and the moonrise over Hilo and the ocean.

Fruit & Flora Plantings: An extensive collection of exotic, tropical fruit trees were planted in 2002. Fruit orchard lies downhill from home and thus will never block the views. Upper gulch and 600 foot driveway are lined with three alternating types of palms. Many flowering and ornamental trees, shrubs, and plants have been planted over the house grounds.

Guest Book Thank you for making our dreams come true! Our Hawaii waterfall wedding was amazing and was truly a storybook wedding. The accommodations were perfect for our wedding party and the incredible grounds and views made our wedding one of a kind.
