Linens,towels,soap,toilet tissue,paper towels/coffee,tea,sugar & spices provided. Downstairs master suite: queen size bed/ connecting bathrm .Downstairs also has a separate full bath. Upstairs loft: 2 queen beds/good quality linens/Tv/DVD. Comfortable living room: sofa/ converts to queen-size bed. DVD/TV/two plush recliners. Laundry facilities, washer/dryer. Cabin is immaculate, tastefully furnished,air conditioned /gas heat Maggie Valley: Gateway to the Smokies:Shopping,Dining/Attractions & Activities Great central location. 10 min from entrance to Parkway, as well as close to Gatlinberg,Asheville,Waynesville, Cherokee, Drive to cabin is fully paved/ convenient / no steep hills/ easy access all year. In the afternoon visit: Cataloochee Valley Elk roam the pastures,,trails,scenic drives Drive the Blue Ridge Parkway,stop at overlook, take photos,enjoy nature. Day 2: Waynesville: View Cold Mountain,shop at the shops, art galleries,enjoy fine dining. Visit Bryson City,ride the Great Smoky Mt.Railway-cross Fontana Lake Day 3. Cherokee: 'Unto These Hills,' Outdoor drama about history of Cherokee Indians and 'Trail of Tears' Harah's Casino,Santa Land theme park & zo
Day 4. Brevard: Land of the Waterfalls.Miles of beautiful waterfalls. Pack a picnic lunch. FAlls are magnificient. Slide at Sliding Rock, natural slide. Life guards on duty. Small fee. Day 5. Asheville: Biltmore Estates. Visit Biltmore Village, dine or shop at one of the many shops and galleries. Day 6. Gatlinberg and Pigeon Forge: Dollywood,waterparks,sights, Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies. MANY shops and restaurants. Cades Cove- scenic drive with wildlife,trails and hikes.
Day 7. Relax at the cabin. Have coffee sitting in the rockers on the deck overlooking the valley below. Take a stroll and enjoy the views. Grill outside and lunch at hte picnic table. Skiing Information: Cataloochee Ski Resort. For over 40 years Cataloochee skiers have injoyed the vest of NC skiing with exciting slopes,winding trails and a friendly, helpful atmosphere. Families learn skiing skills on beginner slopes with their own chairlift. They then graduate to more difficult intermediate slopes like Lower Omigosh and the Rock Island Run. From there you can advance to the 5,400 foot Mody Top, with its 740 foot vertical drop. Snowboarders hone their skills on the Cat Cage terrain park. Cataloochee offers some of the most welcoming and challenging terrain in the Southeast, all in a magnificient setting. Tube World down in the Valley offers fun for all ages as you glide the tracks down the fast lanes. Cataloochee is the first to Open and the last to Close in NC. Snowmaking and computerized snowmaking on 75% of mountains if needed to ensure every trip is a good trip.
