The location between 5th and Broadway makes it conveniently located close to tourist attractions, shopping, galleries and popular neighborhoods -- uptown/downtown and East and West sides. It also offers easy access to public transit. The Empire State building is close as is the newly renovated Museum of Modern Art. Madision square park is within 4 blocks and offers a playground, dog run and the popular Shake Shake Restaurant. Greenwich Village and SoHo are a 20 minute walk or 10 minutes by public transit. Broadway shows are a 15 minute walk away. Similarly, the Museum Millie uptown is easy to get to by foot or transit. Chelsea in Manhattan offers an array of restaurants with a variety of cuisine. It is also well known for its Galleries. It is an exiting neighborhood.
