Lake Livingston cabin Rental Property Information

River Creek Ranch is located just 40 miles north of Houston. The property consists of a beautiful updated log cabin on 20 acres that border the national forest. There is a natural spring creek that runs through the back of the property and is about 10 feet off the back porch. The creek is clear flowing water that provides a splashing good time for children and attracts a variety of wildlife. The front porch has a beautiful view of large oak, pine and magnolia trees. The spring months bring out lightening bugs and wild flowers. Take a short drive to Double Lake, a national park with paddle boats, canoeing, fishing and swimming. Visit historic Coldspring only 6 miles for antique shopping at the town square. Nearby is Lake Livingston, the 2nd largest lake in Texas where you can rent horses or play golf at Cape Royal. My guess is once you arrive at River Creek Ranch you wont want to leave.

Close to Houston Enjoy the comfort of being close to Houston but away from the hustle and bustle. Guests with family in Houston have enjoyed having their Houston relatives visit them at River Creek Ranch. Families who live in Houston have the convenience of a short drive to escape the city life and kick back. Spend the day fishing, swimming and canoeing at beautiful Double Lake National Park only 5 miles from the cabin. Enjoy a romantic dinner at Crystals located across from the court house in Coldspring town square. Most folks agree just hanging at the cabin is hard to beat. Enjoy.

Nature River Creek Ranch is located in the national forest with abundant wildlife. The children have plenty of room to play sports in the large cleared area in front of the cabin. Parents can lounge in one of the large rockers and watch the kids play. The front porch is best for watching the large hawks, woodpeckers and lightening bugs. Early evening brings out the hooting of owls and other wildlife to enjoy.

Historic Coldspring TX The cabin is located between Coldspring and Cleveland on county road 2025. Coldspring is Houston's best kept secret. Its a darling little town with antique shops on the courthouse square. Enjoy dining at the Silver Spur or Elains. Visit the old jail house museum. Lake Livingston is only a few minutes away or if you enjoy a smaller lake with piers for fishing and paddle boats the you will enjoy Double Lake National Park.

Golf Information: Cape Royal and Waterwood are both waterfront Golf Courses that are inexpesnive and open to the public. They are beautiful courses and not usually crowded.
