Collin's House at Sierra Springs was established in 1981 and, until now, has been my family’s vacation secret. This resort style cabin is now available for you and your family to enjoy. Don't miss staying at this private cedar home in the forest. The home features 1900-sq ft, three levels and beautiful landscaping. This lovely 3-bedroom, 2-bath cabin sleeps 8-12 adults comfortably. The home is updated with stainless steel appliances, tile countertops, a stone island and ceiling fans in every room. A cook's kitchen and stainless steel outdoor barbecue allow you to feed the family with ease or create a memorable night for just the two of you.

Things to do: The cabin is located just 3 miles from the Sly Park Lake Recreation Area. In the summer months enjoy hiking, mountain biking, swimming, water-skiing and wakeboarding. If you’re hooked on fishing, catch mackinaw, rainbow trout, brown trout, bluegill and smallmouth bass in beautiful Jenkinson Lake. Winter is truly a magical time in the Sierras and snowboarding or skiing opportunities are abundant. Kirkwood Mountain and Sierra-At-Tahoe ski resorts or are just 30-40 miles from this wonderful cabin.

Places to go: El Dorado County wineries provide numerous year-round tasting rooms with many award-winning wines. Be sure to visit the many wonderful wineries in Apple Hill, Camino, Somerset and Fair Play. Maps and brochures to the wineries, Jack Russell Brewery and apple farms will be provided for your stay. If golf is your game, Apple Mountain Golf Resort in Camino is a course that is as challenging as it is beautiful. Placerville (Historic Hang-Town) boasts antique shopping, wonderful boutiques and a wide variety of restaurants for your dining pleasure. Gold Vine Grill in Somerset is just minutes from the cabin and is a local secret for great dining and wonderful wines. South Lake Tahoe is an hour drive from the cabin and makes for a great day trip if gambling, shows and shopping are your style. Collins House is a wonderful place to visit. Stay with us once, and you will want to come back again and again.
