In the winter, numerous snowmobile and cross country skiing trails are located in the area, with several downhill ski areas about a 15 minute drive to nearby Snoqualmie Pass. Two new golf courses and a restaurant are also available at the newly developed Suncadia Resort, located in the quaint old coal mining town of Rosly, about a 20 minute drive east of Lake Kachess. All that the city of Seattle has to offer are also within a short drive of just over one hour from Lake Kachess.

Luxury Mountain Retreat This 3200 square foot, 3 level home, with 3 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths features a slate-tiled entry and a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, with maple cabinetry, granite countertops, a cooking island with bar seating for 4 and an adjoining dining area seating 8, with french doors leading to a wrap-around deck. High pine ceilings and hickory plank flooring, add warmth and a touch of the rustic to the main floor. Living areas include a great room with high ceilings, a wood-burning stone fireplace (wood provided!) and a plasma TV, and a downstairs den with a free-standing gas fireplace and a large-screen TV with surround sound.

Gourmet Kitchen This luxurious kitchen includes many gourmet amenities, including expansive granite countertops and an espresso machine, with coffee beans provided! The 9-foot long cooking island provides bar seating for 4 overlooking a Wolf gas-cooktop area and a separate vegetable-prep sink. The combination standard/convection oven/microwave allow flexibility in cooking. A propane barbeque is set up just outside the kitchen on the wraparound covered deck, so that outdoor cooking can be enjoyed all year round. All cooking basics are provided, including blender, toaster, food processor, and a large variety of utensils, cookware, etc. Don't bother with bringing spices, condiments, staples, etc., as the kitchen is well supplied. This kitchen is set up to have fun cooking!
