Bucine house Rental Property Information

This charming house is part of a 15th century village that boasts two castles, located along the fringes of the Chianti wine region. The house is nestled into a corner of the village of Montebenichi and has a beautiful view of the rolling hillside. It has three levels plus a loft and is used as the periodic residence of an artist. The original features have been maintained and the furniture and objects in the house have been lovingly collected from antique markets and local artisans. The village has retained its traditional character, predominantly inhabited by farmers who cultivate olives, wine, and other produce. Montebenichi also has a very good Osteria, where local specialties are served alongside a good wine list. Within a short distance (15-minute drive) one can reach Ambra which has a bank, various stores, markets, restaurants, and all basic necessities. Siena is only a 30-minute drive, and the heart of the Chianti is only 20 minutes away.

Montebenichi is a small hill top village in the heart of Tuscany at the south-eastern border of Chianti, halfway between Arezzo and Siena. This is an excellent starting point for discovering the artistic, natural and food and wine wonders of this area. You will drive through beautiful woods see olive groves and vineyards that you can visit on guided tours and taste wines, oils and other local produce. If you are wine enthusiasts why not travel south west to Montalcino, a well-known area for its important Brunello wine, or south east to Montepulciano for the Vino Nobile. To the south of Montebenichi, is the territory of Crete Senese and the thermal spa town of Rapolano, with its natural hot springs of sulphur.
