West Bath is located between Brunswick and Bath, on the east bank of the scenic New Meadows River which defines (with Casco Bay) the western edge of the historic Phippsburg peninsula. The Kennebec River is to the east of this peninsula. SpruceLedge Cabin, reached via Birch Point Road, looks west across the New Meadows River to the northern portion of Long Island, just above Birch Point Light and Winnegance Bay to the south. Thomas Point Beach is about 3 miles upstream on the Brunswick side, and a marina and kayak-rental service are located upstream also. The city of Bath and its many attractions is about a 15-minute drive to the northeast, on coastal Route 1 where it crosses the Kennebec River, upstream of historic Fort Popham and the beaches of Popham State Park at the river's mouth.

- Unless arranged otherwise, SpruceLedge Cabin is only available Saturday-to-Saturday. Minimum age 25.
- An acceptable Saturday-to-Saturday rental agreement (7 nights) is required at least ten (10) business days in advance of occupancy. If less than 10 business days are involved, a special handling fee of $75 will apply. Following receipt and acceptance of your inquiry, a rental agreement form will be mailed to you for your completion and to use in remitting your deposit or payment . Tax and cleaning fee are additional. A 15% booking-security deposit (minimum $250) via certified check or credit card is required, which must be received and deposited in your rental account prior to confirmation of your reservation in accordance with your Rental Agreement.
Though peak season rates and occupancy are weekly, Saturday-to-Saturday, a peak season monthly occupancy of 4 weeks at a lower weekly rate may be available--- but book early to be sure ! - Lower rates apply in the pre-season, after the Labor Day holiday week in September, and in the post-season. Inquiries for such non-peak occupancies at per diem rates (minimum of 3 days) will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The pre/post season rate is $250 per night (a minimum of 3 nights), $295 per night for the Labor Day holiday week, and $375 per night during peak season weeks--- a bargain when compared with rates for similar modern, well equipped, deep-waterfront vacation properties in such an accessible part of coastal Maine. Though unlikely, under per diem circumstances the rental agreement may require the scheduling of additional associated non-weekend cleaning services at the renter's expense.
We accept MasterCard and Visa credit cards (a 3.5% processing fee applies).
The 2008 rental season begins May 3 and closes October 25 (see rate chart). Try us in the mild pre-season featuring long daylight hours, or during Maine's gorgeous 'leaf-peeper' season in the fall !

| Notes: | On-site Services: A cleaning service is provided prior to check-in and following departure, usually at no additional cost to the renter (cost included in rental contract). For multi-week renters, additional between-week cleaning(s), one per week, are also provided if requested by the renter and arranged with the housekeeper (minimum of 48 hours notice, cost included in rental contract). Weekly pickup service is provided for refuse, if timely deposited by the renter in the parking area barrel(s). Though we own and love a well-behaved pet ourselves, some of our renters have animal allergies and do not. Therefore, we regret that we must enforce a no-pet policy--- for ourselves too. Sorry, no exceptions. :-( |
