No matter what you want to do on your vacation, we probably have it! For golfers, reserve greens time at Apple Mountain Golf Course. Water lovers enjoy Jenkinson Lake and all water sports only three miles close by. Take a scnenic drive to the South Fork of the American River--'Rafting Mecca' of North America! Enjoy a day in Coloma river rafting with one of the many river rafting companies. Visit Marshall Gold Discovery Park or pan for gold. Antiquing abounds in the many historic towns around this Gold Country area. Tour wineries of Apple Hill, or take a scenic drive to nearby Fair Play or Somerset for more wine country. In the Fall, take in all the festivities, arts, craft and delicious home-made apple pies, donuts, ciders and harvest's of Apple Hill.

  • The large bathroom has a wonderful burst of color with a very tasteful red sink which is accented with some red towels or hand towels. Freshly cleaned towels, hand towels and wash clothes are provided for your use as are shampoo and soap.

  • Master bedroom has a lovely and romantic queen log bed. There is a log dresser for storing clothes and a log quilt ladder with charming hand-sewn quilts displayed in the bedroom. A beautiful stained-glass lamp provides the perfect evening light for reading, relaxing or just enjoying the ambiance of the beautiful colors radiating from the lamp shade. Candles in bedroom also for use. The spacious upstairs loft provides a full sized bed with lodge decor bedding and a very nice futon/couch for extra sleeping accommodations.

Summer activities Enjoy nearby Jenkinson Lake in the Sly Park Recreation Area. Located only 3 miles from the cabin. Jenkinson Lake is a beautiful, serene and clean lake. Perfect for swimming, boating, sailing, fishing or enjoying a family or romantic picnic on the beach. Also enjoy nearby hiking, cycling or sunset strolls around the lake or feeding the ducks.

River Rafting in Nearby Coloma Coloma is a short and scenic 25 mile trip through the gorgeous rolling hills. While in Coloma visit the historical gold mining town of Marshall Gold Discovery Park for panning, historic re-enactments (done during special events), museum and nature center. Coloma is also the rafting mecca of California, so book an adventurous white water rafting trip with one of the many rafting companies in Coloma and Lotus, CA. Book as a couple or a group and have the time of your life!!!

Apple Hill Apple Hill is a fun and enjoyable place to visit in any season. The many Apple Hill ranches, farms, bakeries and farms really come alive in October and November as it celebrates the Fall harvest with pumpkin patches, hay mazes, petting farms, scrumptious home-made pies, donuts, fudge, craft fairs and much more. Apple Hill also has year round wineries, breweries and vineyards for taste-testing, scenic tours, picnics and wine-tasting festivals during every season. Come enjoy the powder and scenic mountain slopes of the Sierras.
