If you are looking to get away from it all in a tropical paradise, our beach home is the place. Our home is located in the quaint beach town of Las Penitas, known for long stretches of sandy beaches, clean aqua blue water, a slow paced vibe, and unbelievable sunsets. Las Penitas is located next to Poneloya, 15 minutes outside of Leon. No American developers have found this area, so it is very safe, quiet, and uncrowded, and the beauty is unspoiled. Our four bedroom, four bath beach home has a kitchen, dining room, outdoor living room with ceiling fans, pool, rancho, and a refreshing ocean breeze. The property is on the beach with a gate that opens right onto the sand.

Poneloya/Las Penitas is located 18 km (15 min.) from Leon. Tours are available for nearby Isla Juan Venado, a nature reserve island. Leon is a colonial city with the most cathedrals of any Nicaraguan city, and boasts a rich cultural heritage. Leon Viejo, the ruins of the original city of Leon destroyed by a volcanic eruption, is 30-45 minutes away. Eco-tours are available for nearby volcanoes. Nearby hotels/hostels offer kayak, surfboard, and boogie board rentals. Also, surf lessons are offered at nearby Playa Rocas (ask for Lenny). Internet and international calls are also available at Playa Rocas for a very low price.
