Westport's a quaint historical town from the 1850's. The unsurpassed beauty of the views of the rugged northern California coastline is highlighted from the 'Landship's' grounds. Enjoy the ocean to the highest with the tide-poolin, seals, whale watching, sea lions, sea otters and beautiful walks along the wide open beaches with the rugged rock cliffs. Visit our historical quaint Grocery/Gas/Video Store for immediate needs or travel down the coast to Ft. Bragg for all the shopping, art galleries, museums, theaters (live and cinema) spas, fishing excursions, whale watching tours, etc of the coastal city life. Another 10 minutes and you are in the little town of Mendocino. Westport offers some of the best shore fishing and rumored to be home of the 'trophy' abalone. Great area for short day trips whether car touring or hiking the trails. Always great local festivals and activities to attend year round.........Whale Festivals, Oktoberfest, Salmon Bar-Be-Que........fun for all !
