Harwich - Harwichport house Rental Property Information

Location is one draw while staying in this Victorian farmhouse located on Historic Bank Street, Harwich Port. Walk to beautiful Bank Street Beach on Nantucket sound, the warm waters are great for swimming, while there you can watch the majestic sailboats cruise frequently out of Wychmere Harbor. Walk to many quaint shops, ice cream and restaurants in the village of Harwich Port. Walk north to our library with many activities, Brooks Park which hosts the town band concerts or our Historical Society. The house sits across from the old Bank Street cranberry bog which is now a conservation area with 60 acres of hiking, a great place to watch the magnificent blue heron take flight, a sunset or sunrise walk here will give you the essence of Old Cape Cod.

The house is 2 houses connected in the late 1800's, the Victorian side came from an eroding beach on Nantucket, not an uncommon practice in those days. The 2,800 sq. feet is perfect for families or groups, the 5 bedrooms and 4 common areas create plenty of room for everyone. There is a baby grand piano in the music room along with other instruments. There is ample room in the backyard to set up the croquet set, the back patio has 2 tables to comfortably accomodate your group and a weber gas grill. Watch the world of Harwich Port stroll by on the front porch. The kitchen is fully stocked for those with culinary talents, 8 burners and 2 ovens, and plenty of wine glasses. The kitchen table comfortably sits 10. There is eclectic art throughout the house from our travels around the world and a great selection of books to choose from, something for everyone.

Guest Book ---Really appreciate the well equiped kitchen. The wine glasses are much appreciated as well. I am enchanted by all the interesting objects around this charming house. ---What a wonderful home!! We had so much fun living in such a beautiful, special place. Thanks for the fans, the beach chairs, the books, blankets to keep us cosy and wonderful front porch chairs. ---Went to Chatham for a visit, glad to be back in Harwich Port!! ---We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your wonderful house. Great atmosphere!! ---We had 9 people here and there was plenty of privacy due to the intriguing layout of the house, loved the artrworks!!
