Our Colorado Log Cabin Vacation Property, called The Dairy, is more than a cabin, it's our comfortable mountain retreat. Enjoy our 3,000 square foot pine log home with views of mountains and a lake, new kitchen appliances, our private outdoor hot tub, two fireplaces, peeled pine beds with down filled berber fleece comforters to snuggle in, hardwood flooring, and our huge deck overlooking our natural yard. The cabin is equipped with high speed wireless internet access, a dishwasher, washer and dryer, a gas grill on the deck, four cable TVs, 3 DVD players, 4 VCRs and a stereo.

Silverthorne, 'the gateway to Summit County', is only about a 70 mile drive west on I-70 from Denver. Incorporated in the 1960's, Silverthorne has grown up amidst the surrounding ski resorts, and it continues to play a major role in Summit County. With its central Summit County location providing easy access to the Ptarmigan & Eagles Nest Wilderness areas, Silverthorne is a favorite Rocky Mountain destination. Shopping, however, is Silverthorne's true claim to fame! The Silverthorne Factory Stores boast over 70 brand name shops that are widely known for exceptional value, quality, and variety, and the surrounding shops and restaurants complete the Silverthorne experience. The Dairy is located on the crest of a hill, with views on all sides. We're located in a quiet residential area with homes on acre + lots. The area is called The South Forty, just 2 miles from the I-70 and Silverthorne exit.

The Dairy, our Colorado Log Cabin We've hosted many family reunions, a number of church groups and countless groups of friends at our log cabin. And, if you're looking for a beautiful view for your small wedding, our spacious deck as been the cathedral for several mountain weddings. The mountain property is well equipped for young kids and your loved dog - three floors with a kid friendly lower level den and a huge natural backyard. All this and world class ski areas are only minutes away. Copper Mountain, Keystone, Breckenridge and A-Basin are a 15-20 minute drive and Vail is a short 30 miles. No smoking, please. We welcome up to two well behaved dogs.

Creature comforts in our Log Cabin Everything about this home encourages relaxing conversation, quality family time, and a convenient home base for everything offered by Summit County. Two fireplaces, pine flooring, thick pine log construction with peeled pine beds throughout, hand made Berber fleece down filled comforters, an 8 person private hot tub, and an immense deck with a picnic table and lounge chairs help you to unwind after a day of skiing or hiking. All this and ski areas only minutes away. Copper Mountain, Keystone, Breckenridge, A-Basin and Vail and Beaver Creek are all within 30 minutes from our home in Silverthorne.
