Sleeps up to 13. Four bedroom historic detached 18C farmhouse with private pool, and optional studio for 5 not let separately. Featured in a BBC documentary and restored to the highest standard. Set in large grounds (fenced and safe for children) next to Lake. Close to historical sites and restaurants. NEW FOR 2009. THE SWIMMING POOL WILL HAVE THE ADDED BENEFIT OF SOLAR HEATING AVAILABLE FROM THE START OF MAY UNTIL MID OCTOBER The estate has recently been subjected to a ‘no expenses spared’ restoration of the most exacting standards using original & antique materials – every ceiling is beamed and has the original hand-made pianelle tiles. There are cut stone door and window surrounds throughout, and all the original terracotta floor tiles have been re-laid. All the rooms have high ceilings and the generously sized double bedrooms are en-suite. The house has its own 12x6m pool with roman steps. The house is over 250sqm (2690 square feet). The owners, Robert & Sarah looked at over 60 properties around Tuscany before they happened upon the historic farm estate and its neighbouring town Anghiari, and knew instantly this was the place where they wanted to spend the rest of their lives. The location is truly breathtaking and unspoiled. There is so much history and culture in the local area. We are 90mins from Florence, Siena and Montepulciano.

'Robert & Sarah made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. The swimming pool is fantastic and we had many lazy days just taking in the Tuscan sun. The house book that was sent to us before we arrived was very informative which allowed us to plan our days to the full. As for the accommodation - well, what can I say; all the rooms were large and well furnished, very clean with amazing views over the surrounding countryside and the large lake.
