Daytime activities Playa del Carmen offers many daytime activities, including sunbathing, snorkeling, scuba diving, horseback riding, ATV tours, jungle tours, visits to Mayan ruins (Tulum, Chichen-Itza, Koba), swimming, sports, gyms, zip lines, tours to Cancun, Cozumel, Puerto Aventuras, and other Mexican destinations, eco parks (Xel-Ha and Xcaret). 5th avenue also features tons of restaurants and shops.

Nightime Activities 5th avenue's hundreds of restaurants feature international cuisine from all over the world. Visit a small cafe, enjoy local traditional food, or dine in luxury, all is available on 5th avenue. Although Playa stays away from the big clubs of Cancun (thankfully!), there are many bars and nightclubs that draw fun loving people from all over the world.
