Biddeford cottage Rental Property Information

Ideally located on a small spit of coast that locals call 'South Point,' the house is on the edge of a picture postcard sandy beach that stretches for 3 miles, and is also a 5 min walk from a spectacular rocky section of coast. The house combines modern convenience with the casual charm of bygone summers. A large, sunny living room provides a great place for puzzles, or curling up with a good book in front of the fireplace. A bright eat-in kitchen contains the usual amenities, plus a microwave and dishwasher, and opens onto a deck with two eating areas with umbrellas and two charcoal grills. Upstairs, there are four sunny bedrooms (king, double, double and single) with two full baths. There is a separate guest apartment which is attached to the main house. The apartment has its own living room, eat-in kitchen, bedroom (queen) and bath. A 15 min walk takes you to the picturesque village of Biddeford Pool, complete with general store, lobster pound and vistas of the 'Pool'.

Biddeford Pool is a unique family-oriented enclave set between sandy beach and rocky coastline, both within a very short walk. Besides sunbathing and surfing on the beach, the nearby 'Pool' area offers kayaking and sailing. An ice cream truck wanders lazily through the streets each afternoon. The entrance to a scenic Audubon nature preserve is a short walk from the cottage. The walking trail in the preserve features classic Maine scenery-- bold rocks, graceful pines and a dramatic view of nearby Woods Island lighthouse. Within half an hour are the shops and restaurants of charming Kennebunkport, water parks, an amusement park and the city of Portland with all its activities including museums.
