The living areas are furnished in Mexican style furniture, and the fully-equipped kitchenette includes a full sized refrigerator, a 2-burner stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and more. Marble bath includes a gigantic shower and there is a phone as well as TV/VCR/DVD/satellite service in the condo. On site Business Center provides high speed internet access, and guests can shop at boutiques or experience spa treatments or a moonlight massage, as well as tennis or water sports. Getting Around Town Rental cars are not necessary in Puerto Vallarta. There is a bus stop right in front of the resort, and bus rides with the locals are an interesting adventure for a few pesos. There are taxis right at the door of the resort, and for $5-10 you can get almost anywhere you want to go. Always ask in advance of securing the taxi what the rate is for your destination. One exception is an added tariff for rides from the airport to your hotel or resort. It is typically about twice the price of the return trip to the airport! There is a travel agency and a tour center located within the resort, as well as a car rental office if you want to rent a car for a single day for touring around. There is a Wal-Mart close taxi ride away from the resort, as well as a gigantic grocery store within walking distance and other stores/restaurants you can walk to. Since English is spoken everywhere, don't be afraid to venture out and take in all that is offered in this wonderful colonial town.

Eating and Drinking The water is totally safe to drink within the resort. Almost any restaurant you would probably venture into serves only filtered water. Don't be afraid to ask, but I have never heard anyone say no. Major grocery stores around serve food as safe as what you are likely to buy at home. There are far too many wonderful restaurants to count, with everything from American chains to locally owned eateries. Don't miss the opportunity to dine on the beach under a palapa with your feet in the sand while you watch the sunset. Restaurant menus are usually printed in both Spanish and English, and the wait staff always speak English. But practice your Spanish, and they will help you, while asking your help with their English! Don't be afraid to drink the margaritas, as the ice is made from purified water, as well. Just remember to take a taxi, as they do not pour their tequila lightly! Wine is often a challenge, except in high end restaurants, because of import fees. Think local!

At home away from home Casa Vallarta is on the 7th floor of the Sea River Tower, adjacent to the Holiday Inn (a 5-star resort) in the heart of the Hotel Zone, about 3 miles south of the airport and a 5-10 minute taxi ride from the Malecon, the Romantic Zone, the Flea Market, etc. A special concierge desk serves the needs of Sea River Tower guests, and you have full use of all the resort amenities, as well as a 15% discount at all resort bars and restaurants. Additionally, our maid service and property maintenance is managed by Bayside Properties, and phone numbers of your local hostesses are provided for you in the condo. Every effort has been made to pay attention to the details that will make your visit pleasant.
