Further Details for the house in Canada
Pictures don’t do this home justice. They just can’t convey the open space feel that is offered. “Wow” is the word most often used when entering Hiker’s Haven. A “Mountain Home” spread out over three different levels, this home has recently been renovated with new paint and carpets throughout along with slate floors in all the bathrooms. A warm spacious entrance area welcomes you into the home…. Where, upon entry, your eyes are immediately drawn up to the 900 square foot great room. The “Great Room” is a 19 foot high pine vaulted open area consisting of a living room complete with leather furniture, 8 person dining area alongside a breakfast eating bar and a fully modern spacious dream kitchen. The mountain views from this area are spectacular.
“Hiker’s Haven” is furnished with warm, comfortable and modern amenities. All professional series stainless steel appliances are 2006 models. A 28” wide screen HDV TV complete with cable sits above the pantry… perfect for catching up on the news or weather while preparing your meals. Just off the kitchen is access to a upper deck that stands 12 feet off the ground. This 210 sq ft deck (21x10) has a retractable canvas awning that can provide the shade you need on the sun soaked south facing deck. On the deck sits a large propane Bar-B-Q and outdoor table and chairs. Back inside the maple hardwood floored great room are hand hewn log railings and features that lead you upstairs in the split level interior to a landing area where the family eMAC computer, complete with wireless Internet access sits. Entrances to the master bedroom and bedroom # 2 are located off this landing area.
The large master bedroom has a 3 piece en suite complete with shower. A slate surrounded jetted Jacuzzi tub sits in one corner of the bedroom which is furnished with local artisan handcrafted clear pine log furniture. A computerized stationary exercise bike and a 28” Wide screen LCD HDTV with a built-in DVD player complete this very comfortable space. A semi-private 190 sq ft (8x24) outdoor deck is located just off the master bedroom… the perfect location to have that early morning coffee in the sun! Bedroom # 2 is located on the same upper level as the master bedroom. Designated by the owners as a 12 year old girl's room with a dolphin theme complete with aquarium. An attached 4 piece en suite through a pocket door makes this room great for people of all ages. You can also access this semi – private bathroom from the upper landing area.
Skiing Information: World Class Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding and Cross Country Skiing ... that's what Banff, Lake Louise and Canmore winters are all about! Skiers and snowboarders of any ability can find countless challenges within the 3 Banff and Lake Louise ski areas. Additionally there are the 1988 Olympic venues Nakiska (Downhill/Alpine) and Canmore Nordic center (Cross Country) to further explore while in the area. From wide-open bowls and tree-lined glades covered with fresh dry champagne powder, to meticulous groomed slopes and state-of-the-art snow making, visitors enjoy their ski holidays with unspoiled scenery, short lift lines, and guaranteed friendly hospitality.
