No car necessary! The Treehouse is located about a half-mile from the ferry dock on Peaks Island. Since it is within easy walking distance of the ferry, there is no need to bring a car over unless you wish to. There is a parking garage located at the ferry dock in Portland, where you may leave your car. The grocery store, restaurants, beaches, library, indeed all of the island, are easy to walk to - or you can rent bicycles on the island.
