Secluded 2 bedroom, 2 bath cedar cabin, fully furnished, including; all furniture, kitchen pots, pans, dishes, linens, sheets, towels. All you need to bring is your clothes. 32 inch TV with satellite TV service, stereo, DVD player and phone for local calls only. Also has high-speed Internet. Sleeps up to 4, with 1 queen, and 1 trundle bed. Located deep in Osceola Estates, a small country community of about 45 homes that sit in a niche carved out of the Osceola National Forest. ATV, 4 wheelers welcome. There's many ATV trails in the forest behind the house.

  • The bath is long and narrow, but has a tall toilet and sink, making it easier for those with problems bending, and the large shower has a seat on each side. The second bath is very small.

  • The main bedroom has a queen and a child's toddler bed and an attached bath with walk-in shower. Shower has seating and toilet and sink are extra tall, good for those that have a problem rising from low seats or bending. The second bedroom has a twin trundle, which means it has a hidden twin beneath. Good quality mattresses. I love the second bedroom as it looks right out on the fire.

February 16-18, Olustee Battlefield Reenactment February 16-18, 2007 Lake City, FL Annual event commemorates Florida’s largest Civil War battle with more than 2,000 reenactors, full-scale artillery, civilian and military camps, cavalry and infantry units, and other activities. Friday is school day and school groups are admitted free of charge.

October 13, 14, 15, Alligator Festival The annual Alligator fest celebrates the early history of Lake City. It features historical displays demonstrating the lifestyles, customs and culture of early settlers and Native Americans, as well as crafts, food, music and other entertainment. Alligator Fest is sponsored by the Halpatter Tustenuggee Society.

October 12, Jennie Ball, Stephen Fosters The vocal competition for women 18 to 22 offers $4,500 in scholarships each year.
