Ennis cabin Rental Property Information

Charming cabin on Wigwam Creek with Spectacular Views and Wide Open Spaces. In this 100+ year old cabin you will have the feel of living in the 1890's with today's luxuries. This picturesque cabin sleeps 8, (1 king, 1 queen, 1 twin with trundel, 2 twins in loft ) with 2 1/2 baths and is a cozy winter retreat or summer escape. Located on Wigwam Creek 13 miles from Ennis, Montana it overlooks the Madison Valley from the Shining Mountains area. The Madison River ( a blue ribbon trout river) and Varney Bridge Fishing Access is 3 miles away. Beautiful Yellowstone National Park is 1 hr, Virginia City an 1800's mining town is 30 minutes away. Many area festivals and activities including horseback riding, golfing, hiking, river rafting and tubing, wildlife watching, scenic drives, and most winter sports. Enjoy the quiet and peacefulness of this area on our outdoor deck and immerse yourself in the 'Wide Open Spaces'. Wireless Internet.

Ennis is small western town located on the Famous Blue Ribbon Madison River. There are many festivals throughout the summer in Ennis and surrounding towns. Check the Chamber for dates. There is a beautiful golf course in town, water activities on the river, great hikes in every direction and antelope, deer and much more wildlife in our yard. The US National Fish Hatchery is a 15 minutes walk from the cabin. Yellowstone National Park is 1 hr away, Virginia City is 30 minutes, and Bozeman, home to Montana State University is 1 hr away.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • A $500 deposit required for booking - refundable up until 1 month before arrival.
  • Cabin rents for $1450.00 for 6 nts. Cleaning fee is included in this price. There is a $200 damage deposit required which will be returned within 2 wks after checkout assuming there is no damage.
  • Studio rents for $125.00 per night. Sleeps 2 adults and 2 children. The same booking requirements are applicable to the Studio also. $75 cleaning fee not included in rental price.

Further Details for the cabin in Montana, USA

I've seen black bear, bald eagle, osprey, prairie falcon, otter, white tail deer, antelope, elk, and although I didn't see it, moose. All from the deck of the cabin and apartment. Across the Madison River valley (about 6 miles), the Madison Mountain Range extends south to Yellowstone Park and has been preserved as a wilderness area. Grizzly bear, wolf and wolverine are present but rare. This part of Montana has great wildlife, great scenery and great fishing. Lots of things for everyone to enjoy.

There is a public mountain golf course in Ennis. An outfitter lives about 1/2 mile from the cabin and does horseback rides in the mountains. The National Fish Hatchery is in walking distance and does daily tours in the summer. You can wade fish at the Varney Bridge fishing access which is just 1 mile. Great hikes and mountain off road rides are very close. Brochures and hiking options are available in the cabin.
