Owl's Nest Retreat transports you worlds away with sweeping ocean views from Point Reyes to Bodega Head onwards to dramatic sunsets on the Pacific Ocean. Sitting on the top of a hill in Bodega Harbour, this lovely home backs to a nature preserve which deer, rabbits, and quail call home. With lush greenery in the front of your view and ocean behind, it's just a five minute walk to the uncrowded, pristine beach. This thoughtfully-designed 3000+ square foot home features stunning water views from most every room and a large well-equipped kitchen facing the water with dining areas that seat 18. The game room features pool & ping pong, a fireplace with bar area, TV with DVD and adjoins a solarium with indoor spa and shower. All bedrooms have queen beds and LCD HD TV's with DVD. The master suite has a sitting area, steam shower & jetted tub, and private deck-all with amazing ocean views. Deck off the kitchen has a propane BBQ & seating for 8. The living room has a fireplace & LCD HDTV DVD.

In the 1960's Bodega Bay is was made famous by Alfred Hitchcock's thriller, 'The Birds'. While film locations from the movie are still an attraction, most people come to Bodega for rest and relaxation. Outdoor activities abound, but Bodega is also just twenty to thirty minutes from spas, world-class wine tasting and excellent shopping. It is also home to the 4-Star Golf Digest 'Places to Play' Links at Bodega Harbour with both stunning scenery and challenging golf. Bodega Bay has large expanses of uncrowded beaches where your neighbors are more likely to be seagulls rather than people. Great restaurants abound and the scenery of California's Highway 1 which runs through Bodega Bay is legendary. And if you want to just curl up with a good book, views of the ocean and Bodega Head State Park make reading a whole new experience. Many weekend events take place in Bodega, from the Fisherman's Festival to art extravaganzas. Bodega has something for everyone, from couples to families.

The kitchen is complete with double ovens, a warming drawer, microwave, two separate sinks, a five burner touch-panel stove and all the cooking gadgets you could want including Cuisinart, blender, ice cream maker, George Foreman Grill, hand mixer, baking sheets, coffee maker and much more. Best of all, every work surface faces the water, so whether you are cooking or doing the dishes, ocean views abound. There is also a separate bar area with a Subzero with ice maker and bar seating for four. The breakfast nook also seats six and the dining table eight, so up to 18 people can eat at the same time.
Nearby amenities include spas and winetasting. Owl's Nest Retreat is just minutes from the The Links at Bodega Harbour, one of California's most challenging and scenic golf courses. The course is open for public play, with easy access from the Clubhouse parking area to Doran Beach and the Bluewater Bistro Restaurant.
