This private hideaway beckons you to escape the every day and simplify. Nestled in a grove of Appalachian maples, Bass Trail Retreat is a brand new beautifully appointed cabin located between Boone and Banner Elk, NC. Whether you fall into one fo the king size beds after a day of skiing, decide on a lazy day indoors or relax in the hot tub you'll want to return again and again. The property can be rented as a 2 bedroom or 3 bedroom home. If you are looking for a romantic retreat or a large family get away we have a package to fit your needs. Enjoy the beautiful decor and all the ease of home with our Comfort Package that graciously sleeps six, or trade up to our Premium Package adding a pool table, wide screen TV and sleeping accommodations for 2 more.

Rental Rates for the cabin in North Carolina Mountains, North Carolina, USA



Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • $175-$225 per night
  • Comfort Package-sleeps 6-$175.00 per night + tax and $75.00 cleaning fee with a 2 night minimum.
    Premium Package-sleeps 8-$225.00 per night + tax and $95.00 cleaning fee with a 2 night minimum.
    To confirm your reservation a security deposit is due within 3 days of booking the reservation.
    Deposit for the Comfort Pkg is $375.00 (security deposit $300.00 cleaning fee $75.00).
    Deposit for the Premium Pkg is $445.00 (security deposit $350.00 cleaning fee $95.00).
    This deposit is not applied toward rent; however, the security dep. is fully refundable within 14 days of departure, provided the provisions listed in the Rental Rules and Regulations Agreement are met.
    An advance payment equal to 50% of the rental rate is required 60 days before arrival. The advance payment will be applied to the room rent. Please make payment in the form of traveler's check, money order or personal check payable to Margaret Kelly. The balance of rent is due fourteen (14) days before your arrival date
  • Cancellation Policy- A (30) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than (30) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. If the cancellation is made between 14 and 30 days prior to the arrival date, the $300.00/$350.00 deposit is forfeited.

At the end of the day enjoy a scrumptious home cooked meal in a fully equipped kitchen or try a delicious cuisine from one of the local restaurants. More information on local attractions, shopping and dining will be available for guests upon arrival. Take a retreat form the ordinary and revive your spirit.

Skiing Information: Bass Trail Retreat is located in close driving distance to three well known Ski facilities in the High Country. Appalachian Ski Mountain near Blowing Rock has nine trails and ice skating is available when you want a break from the slopes. Ski Beech near Banner Elk is the highest ski area in the East at 5,506 feet in elevation. Ski Beech offers 10 lifts and 15 slopes all lit for night skiing. With this facility you can also take a break from the slopes while enjoying a 7,000 sq ft outdoor ice rink. Ski Hawks Nest located across Hwy 105 from the cabin allows you to enjoy a relaxed environment with smaller slopes for the beginner. Also available and fun for all ages is tubing.

Golf Information: Nestled in the beautiful Watauga Valley, just south of Boone, N.C. on US Hwy 321, Boone Golf Club features level to gently rolling fairways, large undulating greens, lush greenery, crisp mountain air, and breath-taking views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. Boone Golf Club is a premier golf facility and for half a century golfers have enjoyed the beautiful layout of the course.
