The Highland Greens neighborhood is located about 3 miles from downtown Breckenridge and boasts spectacular views of the Breckenridge Ski Area and the entire Ten Mile Range. As Colorado's Playground, you'll find plenty of activities to keep you busy in Breckenridge including downhill skiing, Nordic skiing, mountain and road biking, hiking, fishing, golfing (yes, your drive really DOES fly farther) and horseback riding to name a few. Breckenridge was founded in 1859 during the placer gold mining era. These days, in addition to the sporting activities, Breckenridge is home to the Breckenridge Festival of Film, the National Repertory Orchestra in Summer, and the longstanding Ullr Fest Parade in Winter honoring the Norse god of snow.
