Lake City cottage Rental Property Information

Romance. It is such a warm, comfortable and relaxing home away from home. A great family rental. The beach is fine white sand just great for sunbathing, building sand castles, swimming, fishing, boating or just sitting in a beach chair and relaxing. Lake Missaukee is just 75 feet from the cottage. The lakeside patio offers nice shade and unbeatable sunset views. The 2nd patio is secluded with a picnic table and grill. The inside the cottage is knotty pine with Lots of glass. You can view the beach from the large lake side sun room, living room, dining room, kitchen and 2 bedrooms. Romance boasts 2 master bedrooms, 2 other bedrooms, 2 full baths, full kitchen with dishwasher and laundry room. This is over 2000 square feet of comfort. This is a family rental. Large gatherings and partys are not allowed at this property. This is a cottage that was built in 1953 and updated and remodeled several times into the ultimate retirement house.

Back in 1951 our parents were visiting a friend from Michigan State Collage and had such a great time they bought a lot, built a cottage and called it Roemance. They were the first cottage on the road. It was a much slower pace back then with very few people and activities. We picked blueberries out our front walk for the traditional pancake breakfast. Now word has gotten out and many visitors has discovered this wonderful part of the state. The lake offers so much for water sports and recreation. Lake City has promoted tourism by hosting many special activities such as: The Greatest 4th In The North (Fourth of July), Big bounty Fishing Contests, Festival of the Pines and much more. There is limitless events when you include Cadalic and Houghten Lake. There is something going on every week. Golf courses are just a short drive. Or you can just R e l a x. There is not a better place to sit back and just enjoy the Roemance of this property.

  • What a great design. Two master bedrooms. The first is nicely appointed with a limited water view. It also has a full bath. The second has a garden view. It is very spacious with a queen size bed. A full bath is just steps down the hall. Two regular bedrooms. The first has a full waterfront view from 2 sides. This room is compact and very efficient but still boasts a queen sized bed. The second is also compact with a queen size bed and limited water view.

Endless Watersports Lake Missaukee is a great sportsmans lake. It offers every outdoor watersport activities you can think of.

Discover Missaukee county Missaukee county is the Christmas tree capital of Michigan. Our Green Needle Plantation is a wonderful place to learn about how your Christmas tree was grown. During hunting season it offers great cover for hunting game. We have direct connections to the best hunting in the county. Whitetail deer are abundant. Off season there is hiking, biking, bird watching, nature spotting, tubing and exploring.

Golf Information: We have golf courses within 3 miles. There are also world class golf course in Cadillac (10 min.) and Traverse City (40 minutes).
