The Boat House at Long Point Island is a spectacular property . The park-like setting surrounded by water allows guests to completely relax and truly get away from the hustle & bustle of daily life. There are park benches where you can sit and watch the boats sail by and the lobstermen do their work. Occasionally you will see a seal pop his or her head up and the bird watching is wonderful. The tidal activity simply adds to the ever-changing landscape and interest of the location. The Boat House at Long Point Island is located just 250 yards off picturesque coastal Maine in historic Harpswell. The Boat House is one of only two cottages on a privately owned tidal island. Available for weekly rental, the Boat House will provide the perfect home base for your vacation. An outdoor enthusiast’s paradise, you can fish, sail or kayak right from your back door. With spectacular water views from every window, the two decks, and the park benches on the island, you may just want to sit back and relax with a good book or a pair of binoculars enjoying the birds and passing boats. Come experience Long Point Island - a five acre tidal island retreat. With a park like setting, roses bloom amongst bayberry and sea lavender. Observe the great blue heron, marsh hawk, osprey, plovers, pipers, and of course gulls! Fish for striper, mackerel and flounder. Walk the shores, rock hop or settle on a bench to watch the water activities. Enjoy a game of badminton, croquet or horseshoes on the lawn. Bring your boats and sail, kayak or canoe amongst the finger islands of Casco Bay. Relax, watch the tide and enjoy the sunsets and sunrises. If you venture off island you may want to travel to nearby Freeport to shop, Bowdoin College in Brunswick or the shipyard town of Bath.

Rental Policies 1. No Smoking 2. No Pets 3. No private vehicles on island 4. Check in is from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday 5. Check out time is 10:00 a.m. Saturday 6. Late check in is by prior arrangement 7. One week minimum stay between April and October 8. Reservations guaranteed by a 50% non-refundable deposit 9. The balance of rental fee, the security deposit, cleaning fee & 7% Maine Lodging Tax is required 30 days prior to check in. 10. $500.00 Security Deposit. Fees will be deducted if property not left in condition it was found; this property is immaculate.
