This charming cabin, centrally located on Mt. Desert Island, is perched between Somes Sound and Echo Lake. Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Southwest Harbor, and Somesville are a short drive away. Echo Lake has a park beach for swimming and boat launching. Ikes Point, on Echo Lake, has beautiful sunsets. Mt. Desert Island bustles with endless opportunities for fun. Acadia National Park provides 130 miles of trails for hiking, 57 miles of carriage roads for hiking and biking, a 27 mile Park Loop Road with spectacular views, Cadillac Mountain, and lakes for kayaking, boating, and fishing. Summer theater, restaurants, shops, museums, whale watches, ferry rides to outlying islands, and sailing are close by. Acadia Repertory Theater, the Wendell Gilley Museum, and The Port in a Storm bookstore are within minutes of Cozy Pines. The Island Explorer, a fare-free bus, can be boarded within walking distance.
