Sunset Shores is just steps from 'the worlds safest beach in beautiful Carpinteria California. Carpinteria Beach provide opportunity for many water sports. Swimming Kayaking, Volleyball, boogie-boarding, tide pool exploration and sunbathing are some of the everyday activities on Carpinteria Beach. Surfing and skim boarding are also popular attractions. Smaller breaks, perfect for beginners, occur along sections of Carpinteria beach while the point break at Rincon, just south of Carpinteria Beach, is considered among the finest in the world. Lifeguard protected, gently sloping Carpinteria Beach is protected from heavy ocean swells by The Channel Islands, twenty miles out to sea Swimming buoys and anchored rafts are placed out in the water from mid-June through Labor Day. Boogie boards, kayaks, umbrellas and other ocean sport equipment is available to rent at the beach.
