South Palmetto Point house Rental Property Information

It is a private and secluded location on 120 feet of primitive beach on the seaside (the calmer Caribbean side of the island of Eleuthera, Bahamas). You can swim, snorkel or spend the day shelling right in front of the house. At low tide, a rocky portion of the beach is exposed which drops off into 3’-4’ of beautiful clear water. Our community has a small private sandy beach (good for small children), estimated 200’ away, with easy access at all times. It's a short drive to small shops and a convenience store. The house has a full kitchen with a gas range/oven, refrigerator, air conditioning, linens provided, coffee maker, cooking utensils, microwave, toaster, barbecue, CD player, telephone for local calls and TV with cable service.

On Dr. Jack's private beach, the shelling is excellent and you can fish from the edge of the beach. It's a short drive to small shops and a convenience store. The largest settlement (small town/village) is Governors Harbor which is a twenty minute drive. Other attractions on Eleuthera include: Music by Dr. Seabreeze, Island Farm, Rebecca's Beach Shop, Island Made Gift Shop, Hatchet Bay Caves, Preacher's Cave, Windermere Island, Gregory Town, Glass Window Bridge, Queen’s Baths, Spanish Wells, The Mission Project, The Island School, The Ocean Hole, and Elvinas Restaurant.

Why are our rates so much lower than others? We get this question quite often. Dr. Jack's Green House is a simple, peaceful environment. If you plan on taking your daily life with you on vacation, our house is probably not for you. We want our guests to 'get away' from the noise, the pace and the stress of our daily life. Life in the Bahamas is all about relaxation and appreciation. Dr. Jacks offers you the peace of the Bahamas with the benefit of being accessible to local attractions. A beach chair, the sound of the waves, my children entertained with chasing lizards and building sand castles, and a cool drink is sounding really good right now....

Guest Book Thanks for the opportunity to stay at your beach house in Eleuthera. My wife & I have been to other places in the Bahamas but wanted to get away from the crowds and go explore an island all by ourselves and this was the right place. We went south to Cotton Bay and walked over 5 miles of deserted beaches without seeing one person. Then the next day we went north to Harbour Island and walked the pink sand beaches with the rich & famous where you can walk right up to a beachfront bistro for some fine dining, We were shoeless but they served us anyways while being very polite to our attire. We enjoyed the rest of the day and rode the rented golf carts till dark and headed back to our private beach house. I got to fish and snorkel right out in front of your beach house. The little stores in town had all we needed and tell everyone to stop at the roadside stands that sell fresh fish/conch cooked to your order. We will be calling you again for another true getaway.
