Things To Do Hike on nearby Bald Mountain or on the numerous trails at Acadia National Park. Fish off the dock or try deep sea fishing on the coast. Watch the loons on the lake or the whales off the coast of Bar Harbor. Cruise the lake or the ocean in a kayak. Enjoy a romantic dinner at the nearby historic Lucerne Inn. Golf is available at several scenic courses. Shop the unique boutiques of Ellsworth and Bar Harbor or the larger stores of Bangor. The Senior Little League World Series is in Bangor August 8-14. Plan to attend the National Folk Festival in Bangor, August 27-29. Enjoy the Fall foliage at the lake and use as a base to see the beautiful Fall colors throughout Maine.
