Winchester house Rental Property Information

A soaring beamed ceiling in the main room, two stone fireplaces, skylights upstairs and down and country furnishings all create a rustic charm at our log cabin in historic Colebrook, Connecticut, in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. The house is located on seven private wooded acres with a lovely swimming pond and private beach. Except for your groceries, everything you need for your stay is furnished.

The historic town of Colebrook is a brisk walk away. There you will find the public beach, a delightfully refreshing pond with picnic tables and changing rooms, basketball court, and baseball diamond. Of course, there's the Colebrook country store, one of only three country stores remaining in Connecticut. Nearby are four state forests. There are lots of indoor and outdoor activities all year round. Scenic drives in this area can be found on Route 7, Route 41, Route 44, and Route 272. Wonderful for autumn leaf-peeping or winter getaways. This is a very snowy area of Connecticut and ski slopes are just 15 minutes away. Antique and curio shops are abundant along with galleries, restaurants, and wineries. Family fun activities include go-carts, batting cages, a multiplex movie theater for everyone and dinner movie theater for the 16 and older crowd.

Guest Book 1. The cabin and the property greatly surpassed my expectations. I cannot imagine a more beautiful and tranquil location. 2. The cabin was just what the family was looking for. It was relaxing and comfortable and I'll highly recommend it to family and friends. 3. The pictures don't begin to show just how much this house offers. It is so comfortable, clean and has all the wonderful amenities that one appreciates when vacationing. 4. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your cabin. It was beautifully decorated, very clean and welcoming. As the owner promised, we did not want to leave. 5. Our stay in Colebrook at the cabin was awesome - we only left once to do necessary grocery shopping. 6. The Colebrook cabin was delightful in every way. 7. The cabin is even more charming than it appears in the photos. The inside was darling - great ambiance and everything you could need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
