You can walk 4 blocks to the city's Jaycee Park and boardwalk that has lifeguards there every day. You can also walk to the riverside park that has the Riverside Theater with professional plays, Vero Beach Art museum, fishing areas, picnic tables, events that occur under the oaks, tennis courts, and much more. If you like golf you will have to drive but the Indian River County public golf course has been rated in the top 20 public golf courses in the country. If you are looking for a quiet Florida vacation with lots of outdoor activities, this is the place for you.

Fun things to visit in the area A neat trip is to Harbor Branch oceanographic institution (about 15 minutes by car) They have the Johnson sea link submersible sub here and lots of other interesting things to check out.. . The first national wildlife refuge in the country is pelican island . Sebastian Inlet State Park is considered to have some of the best fishing and surfing on the east coast of Florida. The art museum and riverside theater are within walking distance of the home as well as the riverside park which has walking trails and boat launching facilities. If you like to hunt for Treasure, we are known as the Treasure coast because Spanish ships sunk off our coast and doubloons can be found on or beach. We also have many turtles who nest on our beach. And finally if you like baseball the best training facility in the country is at Dodger town and they have Florida grapefruit league games as well as minor league games in the summer. Possible day trips to Kennedy Space Center and Disney World.

Golf Information: The Indian River County Public Golf course is rated as one of the top 20 Public Courses in the United States. There are two 18 hole courses and the website is www.sandridgegc.com. The course is about 15 minutes from the home. There is also a public course in Sebastian Florida and in Ft. Pierce Florida that are in driving distance. There are several other private courses that are open to the public. Indian River county rates as an area with more golf holes per capita than any other area in the United States.
