Further Details for the cottage in St Maarten / Saint Martin

Our Cottage's Personality Our cottage is right in town and not directly on the main street. It is quiet although you will smell the aromas of the surrounding restaurants. You enter the cottage area through a little West Indian Alley and walk toward the sea. Our cottage is in the back. There is a slatted wooded overhang to shade you in the afternoon as you sit having your afternoon cocktail watching the beach walkers all day. We have our private steps that take you to the beach for great swimming and calm waters. There is no phone to disturb you. This is absolute heaven.

Grand Case Restaurants This little village is known as the restaurant capital of the Caribbean. It has about 30 of the finest on the island. You have a choice of French, Italian, Seafood, Ethnic choices such as Chinese Thai, and Vietnamese. The local food is also featured in the middle of town by the local folks who have outdoor barbecue restaurants featuring island favorites at a very reasonable rate. Look at the menus which are displayed out side the restaurants and see what might appeal to you each night. Most restaurants charge in Euros but some will do a 1 euro equals 1 dollar. That should be a good deal. Right now 1 euro = 1.30 so watch your dollars.
