Further Details for the condo in US Virgin Islands
Luna Bella Condo is at the very top of the hill, overlooking St John and the BVI's. You arrive at our unit by driving to the end of the highest road in the resort and then descending one flight of stairs to the entrance way. Our condo has a great layout. It features an entrance foyer and hallway, a large sunken living room / dining room combo, an elevated bedroom with a gorgeous Caribbean view, a bathroom with separate toilet area, a full kitchen with a bar separating it from the dining area, and a large and very private 25' x 8' balcony overlooking the water. You have a beautiful down island view from every room in the condo (except the bathroom). Besides the sliding glass doors to the balcony, there is a window in the bedroom and the foyer which makes for beautiful breezy nights for great sleeping. From the bed at night, you see the star-studded sky over Tortola and the shimmering lights of the other islands spanning the horizon. We can't imagine a more beautiful place to be.
There are three pools on the property, the hilltop pool, the middle pool and the lower pool. We have two restaurants, the Agave Terrace (a gourmet restaurant) and Fung'is (a funky beach bar/grill that right on the water) that are open for lunch and dinner. On the twenty minute ride from the airport to our condo, we like to stop at the Marina Market in Red Hook and pick up some groceries for breakfasts and snacks. At the concession next to Fungi's you can arrange for the complimentary kayaks to explore Water Bay. There are also sailboats and catamarans which leave from the resort and excursions on these can be arranged right at Fungi's. To get around the property you can walk up and down the nature trails (not recommended for the elderly or small children), drive your rental car, or you can call for the complimentary shuttle.
There are two beaches on the property; Pineapple Beach and small and secluded Sugar Beach. You can rent windsurfers, wave runners, and sailboats at the resort next to Sugar Bay. Coki Beach (great snorkeling) and Coral World are a short walk away. Sapphire Beach , two miles away has a great Sunday Barbecue and beach party. Red Hook, just three miles away, has great restaurants, nightlife and ferries to St John, Tortola, Jost Van Dyke and Virgin Gorda. There are many unspoiled beaches on St John to be explored. If you rent a car in St Thomas, you can take the car ferry to St. John and explore that island. Or, you can rent a Jeep on St John or take a local taxi to get around. St. John also has many great restaurants. Don't forget to visit Historic downtown Charlotte Amalie, it has the best duty free shopping in the Caribbean.
