The cottage is located minutes from the charming village of Hubbards where you'll find delightful restaurants and boat and bike rentals -- as well as groceries and gas. A scenic 20-minute drive along the scenic Aspotogan Peninsula will bring you to Chester, the hilly village that is the yachting capital of the South Shore and site of August 2008 yachting races. To the south beyond Chester lies the World Heritage City of Lunenburg, which is the home base of the tall ship Bluenose II. And you won't want to miss Halifax, a delightful international harbour city that features maritime museums, fine seafood restaurants, parks, theaters and shopping experiences galore.
