Exploring Crockett Cove We have a canoe that you can use to explore the cove. You can go to the headwaters, where there are reversing falls. If you time it right, you can ride the falls in, explore the upper reaches of the cove, and then ride the falls out. While you are there, you will see osprey, , bald eagles, great blue herons and other wildlife.

If you time it right, you can ride the falls in, explore the upper reaches of the cove, and then ride the falls out. While you are there, you will see osprey, great blue herons and other wildlife.

Tip Toe Mountain There is a small mountain within walking distance of the house. You can take a picnic lunch, walk to the mountain, and then make an easy climb to the top. The view is spectacular. You get a good look at Crockett Cove from the top of Little Tip Toe Mountain. There is also Big Tip Toe Mountain, that offers a spectacular view of the Camden Hills. This is the place to view the sunsets.

Golf Information: There is a golf course on North Haven Island, a short ferry ride from Vinalhaven. If you have your own boat, you can easily get to the North Haven landing, and then a short walk to the golf course.
